Vernonia arkansana ‘Mammuth’


North American prairies native.  Clusters of small purple-crimson flowers are produced in summer followed by fluffy white seeds that mature to rust-orange, giving this perennial its common name of ironweed. Prefers full sun, moist fertile soil.
