Trillium cuneatum

Trinity Flower.

Clump-forming perennial, mid-green, ovate-rounded leaves, marked pale or silver-green, held in whorls of three.  In spring, musk-scented, dark maroon flowers are borne above leaves.  Prefers moist but well drained, humus-rich, acid to neutral soil, in deep or partial shade. Fully Hardy.

Trillium luteum

Yellow Wakerobin

Produces a trio of stalkless leaves, often mottled with a paler shade of silvery-green.  Bears yellow flowers, faintly fragrant of lemon oil,  atop the foliage in late spring. Prefers moist but well drained, humus-rich, acid to neutral soil, in deep or partial shade.  Fully Hardy.
