Angelica gigas

Clump-forming perennial with large toothed, tripartite, mid-green leaves.  Produces dense purple bracted umbels of rich, dark purple flowers on dark red stems in late summer and early autumn.  Fully hardy.  Full sun or partial shade and well drained soil. Unlike some other varieties of Angelica, this variety is NOT edible.
