A clump-forming herbaceous perennial, with broad sprays of small, clear blue flowers resembling a forget-me-not and heart-shaped long-stalked leaves. Prefers a shady sheltered position, even north-facing. Best grown in moderately fertile, humus-rich soil that is moist but well-drained. Flowers in spring.

Rhizomatous perennial with softly hairy, frosty looking, silver leaves. In mid- to late spring bears panicles, up 20 cm long, of clear blue flowers. Fully Hardy. Full Sun or Part Shade. Prefers a fertile, humus-rich, moist but well drained soil, in a cool site.
